Altium Designer 23.7.1.13 Free Downloads: New Features and Fixes for Improved Performance

Altium Designer 23.7.1.13 has been released, bringing with it a host of new features and bug fixes to improve performance and efficiency in PCB design. One of the key highlights is the improved performance of the Variant Manager, which now includes automatic pagination when the number of variants exceeds 100.

Additionally, the latest version addresses several issues that users may have encountered previously. For instance, when trying to open all schematic source documents at once, some users experienced an error message stating 'Object reference not set to an instance of an object.' This issue is now resolved in Altium Designer 23.7.1.13.

Another important fix is related to the display of variant names on schematic sheets. Previously, if a variant name contained the ' character, it would not be displayed correctly. This issue has been resolved, ensuring that all variant names are accurately shown.

The release also addresses several other issues, including problems with exporting PCB designs to DXF/DWG format, and issues related to tuning differential pairs in specific designs.

Furthermore, Altium Designer 23.7.1.13 adds support for the import of custom pad stacks (and defined thermal leg ties) defined in an Allegro board design. This feature allows users to leverage their existing Allegro designs and incorporate them into their Altium projects.

Other notable fixes include resolving issues related to panelized PCBs, Gerber X2 data generation, and NC Drill output. Specifically, the bottom solder mask was previously visible for top SMD component pads in single-layer Flex PCBs, but this issue is now resolved. Additionally, only a single drill was being generated for each IPC 4761 via type when generating NC Drill output, which has been fixed.

Finally, rounding errors with mil-to-mm conversion that could lead to unconnected pins have also been addressed. With these fixes and new features in place, Altium Designer 23.7.1.13 promises to be a significant upgrade for users of the software.
